...now, what about programs that are ''registry cleaners'' and so on? Are they a crock or worthwhile? I'm always wanting my PC to go faster so I defragment every 2 - 4 wks and disk cleanup weekly. never use registry cleaner if you have moderate knowledge about computer registry. some registry cleaner will destroy your computer. You can defragment more frequently. i defragment my computer everyday.

Try CCleaner (download.com) it will keep the crap out of your box and if used on regular settings is safe for use by anyone.
