His laptop has the following: 1.5 GB rams but the178 MB of 1.5 GB is sharing with the video card; Intel Celeron I believe it is 1.6 GHz processor; 80 GB Hard Drive; DVD/CD Burner combo; Wi-Fi capacity; Windows Vista Basic (So no remote access able to do over the net); Microsoft Office 2007; Antvir for his antivirus; Window Firewall; Microsoft Window Defender; Free Internet Window Washer 2.1; Revo Uninstaller 1.5. He leaves it on all the time so you kind of see why I need the Free Internet Window Washer 2.1 to clean out his system every eight hours. His computer skill is just surf the net and goes on yahoo and checks his email. I am looking for software that will kick and protect his computer in when he goes Wi-Fi when he leaves his home and when he returns it goes off by it self. I also look for all in one PDA program that will have to remember to do things. The Microsoft Office 2007 outlook he can only figure how to use the email and address. He unable to use the rest of the outlook.

I think that vista basic has a speech thing for accessibility.

If you want remote access, try using a vnc server. Like real vnc or tight vnc

As far as internet security is concerned install Deepfreez ( no virus or trogens will enter).There are softwares which downloads email for him without his intervention.
